Sierra Vista Child & Family Services Residential Treatment Services provides two level 12 group homes with a total capacity of 14 placements for children between the ages of six and 14. Our group homes are located in clean, safe and family oriented neighborhoods in Modesto, California.
The goal of residential service is to assist the client in developing skills that promote socially appropriate functioning in family, community, and academic settings, and to transition to a lower level of care as soon as possible. Sierra Vista Child & Family Services Residential Services provide intensive, specialized 24-hour care to children who are experiencing behavioral and emotional problems.
When children's families are available, they are actively involved in the child's treatment plan in preparation for reentry into family living. Children whose parents are not available are matched to foster families and prepared for their eventual placement in loving foster family homes. Families trained and certified through the Sierra Vista Foster Family Services provide loving homes and an ongoing commitment to the child's treatment plan.
Sierra Vista Child & Family Services works closely with the various school districts to provide the best educational placement for the children in our care. Sierra Vista works with the County Office of Education to facilitate services for children who qualify for special education programs including placement in our non-public school.
Children in Sierra Vista Child & Family Services' residential treatment have many opportunities to develop social skills through structured and goal-oriented activities in the group home and in the community.
